Work With Me

The right support depends on where you are.

As cycling and endurance events grow, so does everything that sits behind them.

More participants. More suppliers. More volunteers.
More pressure on small teams trying to hold it all together.

I work with organisers who have reached the point where experience matters just as much as effort.

Below are three ways we can work together depending on the level of support you need.

Three ways to work together

Most operational issues are not created on event day. They are usually baked into the plan months earlier, just not visible yet.

This is a focused review of your event operation designed to identify gaps, pressure points and practical improvements before they turn into problems on the day.

I review your plans, structure and delivery approach across:

Review areas
  • Route design and event flow
  • Start and finish operations
  • Volunteer structure and briefing clarity
  • Supplier coordination and responsibilities
  • Communication across teams and event day structure
  • Risk planning and contingency readiness
  • Participant journey from arrival to departure
What you get
  • Written operational review with clear priorities
  • Traffic light risk summary
  • Practical recommendations for improvement
  • 60–90 minute walkthrough session with your team

Clear, practical feedback you can actually use — not theory or long reports that sit in a folder.

Investment
Small events (up to 2,000 participants) £600 – £900
Established events (2,000 – 6,000 participants) £900 – £1,400
Large or complex events (6,000+ participants) £1,400 – £1,750

This is for organisers who already run strong events but are at capacity operationally.

I work alongside you through the planning cycle to strengthen delivery, connect the moving parts and make sure nothing important is left too late.

This is not advice from the sidelines. I become part of your operational team.

Typical support includes
  • Building and refining your operational plan
  • Coordinating suppliers and delivery partners
  • Designing event flow from arrival to departure
  • Developing realistic timings and schedules
  • Supporting volunteer and workforce planning
  • Structuring communication across teams and stakeholders
  • Identifying and resolving operational risks early
  • Supporting decision making as event day approaches
The aim

Clear plans, aligned teams and fewer surprises on event day.

Investment
Small established events (800–2,500 participants) £2,500 – £4,000 / month
Growing regional events (2,500–6,000 participants) £4,000 – £6,500 / month
Large or complex events (6,000–10,000+ or multi-day) £6,500 – £9,000 / month

Typical engagement: 3–6 months depending on event scale.

Event day is where all the planning is tested in real time.

I work alongside your team on the ground to help keep the operation aligned, decisions clear and issues handled before they escalate.

This is particularly valuable for larger or high-profile events where internal teams need space to focus on participants, sponsors or stakeholders.

On the day, I support
  • Control room coordination
  • Live operational decision making
  • Issue escalation and resolution
  • Communication between teams and suppliers
  • Maintaining overall operational alignment
  • Supporting leadership with real-time situational awareness
Preparation

Preparation is strongly recommended to ensure the operation is fully aligned before event day.

Most events include 1–2 prep days per event day.

Investment
Standard event day support £600 – £900 / day
Senior operational lead (larger events) £900 – £1,200 / day
High complexity or multi-site events £1,200 – £1,600 / day
Prep days
Per prep day £500 – £750 / day

Not sure which option fits your event?

Tell me about what you're planning and the stage you're at. We'll work out together where the right level of support makes most sense.
